The wheel wasn’t turning. There was nowhere to escape.
The crowd scuttled like ants below. The sky rumbled ominously.
He tried ignoring it.
Tension in the air. Slow chill crawling down his spine.
Gulp.
All hell was about to break loose.
She was leaning in for a kiss.
In a word: Superb!
I love how you build this tension, this wonderful suspense, and it’s all because of a kiss. Who hasn’t been there?! Wonderful writing!!
